Challenge #36 Back to School

#36
Challenge:   Back to School
September 10 - 16th, 2013

Hi all! I have a little

Back to School inspiration for you!

What is more back to school than a chalkboard?
I used black cardstock to make the chalkboard, but
it looked too clean... So I took a paper towel, put a
little white ink on it and rubbed it across the paper
to look like leftover chalk after the board has been
wiped clean. The pattern papers and the YOU ROCK!
sticker are from the Bazzill Basic School Days line.
The "Thanks Teacher" and globe stamp are from
the Paper Smooches Smarty Pants Stamp Set
All of this is the current weekly deal. I colored the
globe with my watercolor pencils.

Creative Cutting Challenge: Anything Goes

Time for another Creative Cutting Challenge!
The theme this time is Anything Goes! So
any project made with an SVG type cut file
(no cricut cuts)
I made this tag:

Someone sent me some plain tags in the mail, so I decided one would
work well with the cutting file I chose for this project...
I crumpled the tag, put some ink on my craft sheet,
I used Tim Holtz Distress inks in Black Ink and Peeled paint.
I ran my crumpled tag through the ink, then added a spritz of
water and ran it through again. I dried it with my heat gun, then ironed it to
get is somewhat flat again. I cut my shapes (Gear Frame from
tag from the library built into the Make The Cut software)
The gold parts were a pale yellow green card stock, I added
Gold Gelato to them. The Silver part was gray, I added Silver Gelato.
The crinkle ribbon is some I ordered from 3 Girls Jam
while back. The jute twine is from My Life in Arts n Crafts.
The writing on the tag is my own.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cuttin & Stampin Week 35 Banners

#35
Challenge:   Banners
September 3 - 9th, 2013

Hi all Pam again! Back with a second

banner this week... This time I made a

card with a banner...

I used assorted papers from my stash, the shapes
were cut with my Cameo from patterns in the
Silhouette Online Store. I used pop dots to
lift the plane off the paper. I stacked 3 dots toward
the front of the plane so it looks like its flying
off the paper. I stacked 2 a little further back
on the plane and then used single dots toward the
back of the plane.
